20 Gauge Gun Cleaning Bore-tips® by Swab-its®
Made in the USA
Swab-its® 20 Gauge Bore-tips® are caliber-specific firearm cleaning tools engineered to deliver 100% bore contact for superior cleaning and lubrication. Designed to replace traditional patches and mops, these durable foam tips provide a tight, consistent fit that contacts the full circumference of the bore for more effective results.
Manufactured from non-abrasive, lint-free foam, 20ga Bore-tips® spread solvents and lubricants more evenly while using less fluid than traditional cleaning methods. The foam construction allows Bore-tips® to be run safely in both directions through the barrel without damaging rifling or finishes.
Like all Swab-its® firearm cleaning products, these Bore-tips® are washable and reusable, offering long service life and excellent value. They attach easily to a standard shotgun cleaning rod with 5/16-27 threading.
Bore-tips® cylindrical foam applicators are used in engine and powertrain environments to clean, wipe, and apply fluids inside precision-machined bores.
The 20ga size is ideal for oil passages, lifter bores, and cylinder bores where uniform 360° contact is required without scratching or fiber contamination.
Made from lint-free foam, Bore-tips® support contamination-sensitive engine assembly and rebuild processes where repeatability and surface protection matter.

Why Foam Swabs Outperform Cotton Swabs
Foam cleaning tools are engineered for firearm maintenance applications where cotton patches and swabs fall short.
-
Lint-free and fiber-free: Foam leaves no fibers behind in the bore or chamber
-
Controlled absorption: Foam holds and releases solvent evenly for better coverage
-
Non-abrasive: Safe for rifling, finishes, and barrel interiors
-
Stronger structure: Foam resists tearing, collapsing, or bunching in the bore
-
Consistent geometry: Maintains full bore contact for repeatable results
-
Washable and reusable: Longer life and better value than disposable patches
-
Made in the USA: Manufactured to consistent quality standards
Bottom line: foam Bore-tips® provide cleaner barrels, better lubrication, and more reliable performance than traditional cotton patches and mops.
Why Bore-tips® Foam Outperform Traditional Patches
Bore-tips® are engineered specifically for firearm barrels, solving the common problems associated with loose-fitting cotton patches, mops, and felt pads.
-
True 360° bore contact: Caliber-specific foam compresses and expands to maintain constant contact with the lands and grooves of the rifling—unlike flat patches that fold, bunch, or miss areas
-
No lint or fibers left behind: Foam is lint-free and fiber-free, eliminating the need to remove cotton residue after cleaning
-
Even solvent and lubricant distribution: Reticulated foam holds and releases fluids uniformly, improving cleaning efficiency while using less solvent
-
Non-abrasive and barrel-safe: Foam will not scratch rifling or damage finishes and can be safely run in both directions
-
Consistent fit every pass: Bore-tips® maintain their shape and pressure throughout the stroke, unlike patches that vary with loading technique
-
Reusable and washable: Each Bore-tip® can be reused multiple times, substantially outlasting a similarly priced bag of patches
-
Faster, simpler cleaning: No jags, no patch stacking, no guessing—thread on and clean
-
Made in the USA: Manufactured to consistent quality standards by Super Brush LLC
Bottom line: Bore-tips® deliver more consistent cleaning, better lubrication, and longer service life than traditional patches—making firearm maintenance faster, cleaner, and more effective.
